I was unlocking my phone and hit "emergency call" instead. When it asked me if I was sure I wanted to make an emergency call, I meant to hit cancel, but I hit the wrong button, I guess, and it said I was causing 9/11.
I hit the end button repeatedly and said "cancel, cancel, cancel", just in case there was someone at the other end of the line already.
I've heard that the police trace and act on every call they get. It's been 20 minutes since the accidental call, and I've received no call back, nor anyone at my door step.
How likely is it that they'll show up after this much time has passed?
Also, how do they track your location down?
This has been very stressful and potentially very embarrassing...

I accidentally called 911 once and i hung up but i checked a few seconds later and they were somehow still on the line and said they had to send a cop to make sure it was really an accidental call
