My toenails were like half an inch long lol

My toenails kind of curve around my toes, so they can get pretty long before it's an issue.

Have they ever got so long that they curved neatly underneath and made little tapping noises when you walked on a hard floor?

I do not believe they have ever gotten quite that long.

Did you eat the clippings?

When I was a kid I would save my toenail clippings in a little jar. My parents looked into selling my collection online as a curiosity item, but eBay wouldn't let you sell human body parts.

I was disappointed that they tried to sell it because my hope in collecting them up was that I would someday be cloned by aliens or super advanced humans.

Ahh i cant stand it tho once your nails get a certain length they sometimes feel like they are being pried backwards or bent forwards

I love it, it's so relaxing to sit barefoot on a carpet and scratch it with long toenails.

Maybe your shoes are too small for you or something because impact from walking can make it hurt
