that's right! it's World of Warcraft character backstory update day! this week my rogue finally unlocked flying in the Broken Isles. it wasn't particularly hard, but the content was time gated which meant i could only accomplish a small percent of it per day. fortunately flying is Account Bound which means once one character unlocks flying it's unlocked for all of my characters. it's made leveling alts a snap. i was able to get Totum the Shaman to level cap in about 6 hours of game time. maybe less actually. now she can join the fox hunt. between the 3 capped characters i should be getting something like at least 3 attempts every 2 days with a bonus 3 attempts usually once a week. i'm not sure i like the changes they've made to shaman. i used to really liked playing her through Draenor but blizzard took away some of the abilities i apparently really liked. the Enhancement class feels about the same, i guess, and maybe i'm just missing the finer points but it feels like i'm just spamming for cooldowns. and shaman are certainly less flashy, loud and obnoxious than they were before, and that's a shame. i tried the Elemental Class for a bit and i'm pretty sure i hate it entirely. i hate casters. and elemental has, like, zero instants. if she's moving she kinda can't do shit. i'm pretty sure i'm not even close to playing the class correctly though, i've seen some excellent ele shaman in the world and i'm sure there's a technique i'm not using. but still, i hate casters.
i don't really have any specific goals with my shaman in this expansion. she's my Miner/Skinner and farms for ore and hide. so i'll at least finish her Class Hall Campaign since that's all unique story with "class fantasy" about shaman and should be fun like the priest and rogue class hall campaigns, and i'll also finish her profession campaign since there's kind of a mini story to go with those too.

@840,032 (Big Daddy Derek !Uvm54ORbmo)well that's a good question, but if i change the camera settings then i can get much better screen shots. i may end up running her up through the Argus campaign since that's her homeworld afterall. i suspect that she'd want to get revenge on Kil'jaden and even Sargeras if she can. and she'd probably want to help the survivors on Argus who were left behind when the Draenei fled. but she's not as revenge driven as my rogue, i don't think. i established before that she was a little kid back when the Draenei fled, perhaps even being born on the Exodar or something. she never really knew her homeworld or got to explore shamanism with elementals on board a space ship, so once they found an elemental filled world she just wanted to go gather their powers and explore.
she's never raided anything "at level" either, so she's never really taken part in the front of the story. i was planning on leading with her but for some reason decided to lead with my priest which probably wasn't the best idea.

this guy is still around too. i went ahead and got him attuned to the new zone, cleaned out his bags and dropped his old quests and basically got him ready to run up. he's already got his Artifact Weapon and is just waiting to cruise through the leveling zones. there's a small chance i'll gear him towards Protection and roll him through a few dungeons as a tank. i've kinda always wanted to roll a tank through fresh dungeon content before everyone knows it super well and can just crush it, i've done that as both DPS and healer, but never tanked new content. but i kinda don't like this guy very much anymore. warriors were rebuilt and they are different now too. i always did enjoy Prot warriors, but they're shit for leveling. what i may do is just switch to Prot and gain experience through dungeons only. tanks have the shortest queue so you can just spam dungeons like multiplayer modes in most games. that should also gear him up fairly quickly and get me back used to tanking. i bet i could do it in an afternoon if i'd bother
