I always hated to paticipate in games/events that had a time limit set up. The rush of anxiety about whether I'd be able to finish on time and my eyes shifting from the clock to my task is so...uncomfortable. I like to take my sweet time and finish calm and comfortably.

Yes, it does. Being timed puts you under pressure, and performance changes under pressure.
