You don't acquire culture in a couple of hundred years. Here in Britain and Europe in general we have a culture that existed before Columbus set sail let alone discovered America. Culture, meh, you guys haven't even learned to dress yet.

Yeah, this is true. Modern european culture is exactly as it was when columbus sailed. Nothing has changed and european culture is virtually intact after hundreds of years.
