There is now a little bit of "lag" introduced while typing. I have an iPhone 3G S and the responsiveness has decreased.

Upgrade to an android. Also should be a bit less now. I'll change the jquery code that does it later to regular javascript to reduce overhead.

I think this is creating a problem for me where for some reason my Blackberry wants to stay focused on the top of the text box rather than where I am typing, and as a result I sometimes cannot see what I am typing. If I try to scroll down to see what I'm typing, it scrolls back to the top as soon as I start typing again. Sorry if this is unclear, but I'm having a hard time explaining what's going on. Before, the box would stay the same size and the text would scroll as I typed. It seems to be working fine now, so I'm not sure what the fuck is going on. Is there anyway to figure out what's going on and fix it or does my phone just fail?
Now it's doing it again for some reason. Also, for some reason the name field doesn't expand, but the regular text field does. I'm confused.

First off, the name field isn't supposed to expand because it's a 1 line box, the message area is multi-line. It should expand vertically to accommodate its contents.
I am not sure why your phone would behave like that, but I think I know what it's doing but there's not much of a fix for it.
Maybe with some of the issues I'll see about making this thing android/iPhone only because those seem to be able to handle it.

The text areas grow with each letter I type in. After the first sentence it is impossible to see what I am typing. I am on the dolphin browser for android.
Edit: when I deleted a letter during my edit, the text box grew also.

I understand what you mean. You see the beginning of your post but the words soon drop out of sights and your screen doesn't follow it. Mine is following the growth and leaving my words above my focus.
