Do you think video formats would ever have one return to popularity or are the current ones such as DVDs and Blu-Rays better?

I noticed that the VHS is trying to make a comeback, but all it got was a few nostalgia videos on YouTube.

video tapes are such shit I fucking hate them and for that matter I hate vinyl records though I have lots because there are so many never reissued on CD

anyway, a shittier alternative to laserdiscs is videodiscs, which are actually analogue with fuckin needles I think, and the playback was accordingly shitty and so would have more hipster appeal than laserdiscs
