What is public and of reputable provenance shows an extremely tight connection of people, purpose, and timings regarding at least two generally illegal plots: laundering of money in exchange for influence (mostly about Russian sanctions) and also the laundering of information to tip the election to Trump.
The specific crimes of specific people are coming to light and will vary. Some early folks are likely to cooperate and plead to lesser crimes of a financial nature. These convictions and State’s Witnesses will lead to larger accusations against more significant targets. The fallback for most of these allegations appears to be perjury and failures to disclose significant information in official federal filings (which are severely punished).
This all comes from reliable, serious, and unaffiliated political analysts.
