Once, I knew a lady with imbalanced hormones resulting from pregnancy that meant she had more testosterone in her system than was usual. As a result, she grew patches of facial hair.
She felt extremely ashamed of this, and wished on many occasions that she didn't have to shave her face. I imagine she still does to this day.
This type of thinking is very common, I find. Finding flaws in yourself and wishing they weren't there. It's likely that most people reading this have done the same.
You may as well wish that the sun won't set tomorrow evening. But it doesn't matter how hard you wish it to stay in the sky, the sun will still set. That's a fact, just like my friend's facial hair or my poor vision or whatever problems anyone else finds with themselves.
My point is, wishing for an impossible outcome is illogical and futile. It's like you're tying your peace of mind to an anchor and throwing it off the side of the boat.
Change your thinking instead of trying to deny the facts.
