Maybe about $30 or $60 worth.

I was told that it's not too late to perhaps strike it rich.

You would be better off spending $60 on a AAA game title and enjoing it. Or $60 worth of lottary tickets.

Now I fail to see how the lottery is a better investment than Bitcoins. Bitcoins are still a currency so you always have some value and when things rise the more that value increases much like stocks on the market, yet with lottery tickets, you still have a slim chance of a payoff. You could have 5,000 tickets and still have none of them be any major winners.

Something most people fail to realize about Bitcoin: There will only ever be 21 million bitcoins. And so many people have removed bitcoins from the supply by losing them in various ways that it will actually be fewer than 21 million Bitcoins for the entire world to share. Supply vs Demand alone says we are nowhere near the maximum market value of bitcoin, today in October 2017.

Or some other pretend coin will catch on and Bitcoin will have no market value.

Coinbase offers statistics for Litecoin if that counts. It does intrigue me as to how many retail stores will incorporate Bitcoins before that happens though. I cannot imagine there won't be some kind of exchange policy for Bitcoins and the new cryptocurrency. I mean, most currencies do have exchanges in the real world.

There has been about a decade's worth of competition with Bitcoin and nothing has toppled it so far.
