I know how Catalonians feel, Cornwall should become independent from England.

Rock of Gibraltar

Odd how Brits have a couple of hunks of land where Spanish is more normal than Brit type speech

> I know how Catalonians feel, Cornwall should become independent from England.
Sure. Both want to be independent, but I think Cornwall wants to be a seperate entity of the U.K., like Scotland and wales.
> Falkland Islands
They want to be British though. There's a majority British (like Irish and Scottish) population.
> Rock of Gibraltar Odd how Brits have a couple of hunks of land where Spanish is more normal than Brit type speech
Same story here.

Natives of Falklands were displaced by the Rapists n Ravagers with boatloads of Brits sent in to take hold of the Islands

Gibraltar currently has 13.7 Brits when I look at Demographics.

Given not much is left of Britannia one can C Y UK tries to hold on to any scrap of land they have currently - Brexit is costly very very costly with bad future outcum so holding on to lands outside will just be harder to justify

There were no natives on the Falklands.

And who makes up the majority now, and do they want to stay or leave?
> Gibraltar currently has 13.7 Brits when I look at Demographics.
Yes but in 2016 Gibraltar overwhelmingly voted to remain.

> There were no natives on the Falklands.

Exactly. They were settled by settlers from the British isles. The Spanish were there before, but they left.

So like does those who think they no the history of the Falklands even bother to look up history?

The Falklands remained uninhabited until the 1764 establishment of Port Louis on East Falkland by French captain Louis Antoine de Bougainville, and the 1766 foundation of Port Egmont on Saunders Island by British captain John MacBride. Whether or not the settlements were aware of each other's existence is debated by historians. In 1766, France surrendered its claim on the Falklands to Spain, which renamed the French colony Puerto Soledad the following year. Problems began when Spain discovered and captured Port Egmont in 1770. War was narrowly avoided by its restitution to Britain in 1771

Try that for Gibraltar

Gibraltar voted overwhelmingly to stay in EU 96%

So it will be interesting to see how the current population deals with any future deals given Spain is what Gibraltar totally depends on for its economy

Huuuuummmm Scotland wants a new vote on staying with UK

Yeah they do. They had a referendum a few years back and voted to stay. Only reason they would want to leave now is because of Brexit and Theresa may. I still can't see it declaring independence though.

Catalonian separatists sound like a bunch of faggots who want to live in ever smaller country until it's down to one asshole in a tool shed

Not really. There is a political party here that wants that, but they never get even a noteworthy number of votes.

This is counter-revolutionary propaganda. In actually, Mebyon Kernow and the brave lads of the CNLA are heroes in Cornwall. The cornish pasties of Truro, Newquay, St Ives, Bude and all the other famous cities in the cultural paradise that is the Cornish nation, ache for liberty.

Well yes, but I can’t admit that because we don’t want the English to see the revolution coming.

But once we suddenly withdraw the Cornish pasty shop from Paddington Station, they’ll be shocked into surrender.

Thanks for the insight. I guess it's like "welsh independence". I don't live there so I don't know as much.
