The difficulty slider for the game also determines your character’s skin colour. Easiest is white, and making the game harder makes your character progressively darker skinned.
Apparently the difficulty doesn’t affect combat, just other aspects like the game’s economy.
As you’d expect of South Park, this feature is controversial. Despite what OP said, it’s also not sitting well with some more liberal gamers either.
