Alright so, you can delete the .chr files and, in doing so, delete the girls in the game. You can do this with Monika and change the ending!

Man, this game was one hell of an experience. It’s the first time that a video game NPC has made me feel personally threatened. And that was on top of all the ouher ways the game screws with you from Act 2 onwards.

The .char file thing is actually a fairly limited mechanic, deleting them mostly won’t change anything. But there’s a few interesting things you can do with it.

If you delete Monika’s file just before a brand new game, Sayori immediately becomes aware she’s in a game, freaks out, and breaks the game.

Also, you can un-delete Monika immediately after you’re supposed to delete her, and you’ll get a sad message from her.
