Her digestive system was messed up and you literally couldn't even go ONE day without having to listen to her guts groaning and squeaking and making wet slopping sounds?

I am not a lawyer.

This sounds like a medical issue, which is not a protected class, but you’d be a real shitbag for terminating based on medical conditions.

If you’re in an At-Will employment state then you can fire for any reason, even without cause.

It sounds like the assistant has IBS and/or SIBO, Which tend to go unknown or inadequately treated for a long time

Many medical conditions do qualify as a disability under the ADA, fyi! Requiring reasonable accommodations for businesses with more than 15 employees. THanks.
