In 10-20 years they're going to start doing internet historical reenactments, with web 1.0 villages and actors. They'll be doing GeoCities, AOL, ICQ, Usenet, AltaVista searches, IE vs Netscape flamewars on period-correct hardware.

I have a few friends who do this kinda stuff - Spend a weekend doing the old tyme English stuff - I went just to take a seminar on making paper the old tyme way that was interesting - I chose to NOT play role by dressing up old but did wear a shirt I bought at a Renaissance festival and jeans.

Betting women DO NOT get old tyme serious during their periods, as betting that wood not be worth the effort

I've just signed up with one of these groups! We're going to start out running a local WWIV BBS and talking about phreaking and door games. There will be free informational material to educate youngsters about what payphones were and how they worked as well as some material on usenet, early leetspeak and its origins, and a seminar about how to cheat at Tradewars.
