Drain and dry the chick peas. Drying is very important. Sprinkle your fav flavor of Lipton® Recipe Secrets® and Soup Secrets® over Dried peas
Boil up some oil preferably non Chinese type and dump the chick peas into the oil until they float to the top and let them boil in oil for about 8 mins more.

Well, that's a mighty biased recipe. I'm going to Google it. Thanks.

OK with a little more tyme and thought I think this is a more better way to make your fries.
You need to smash them to basically a paste but you do not have to go overboard. Think Mashed potato like and form into the shape of Fries. Oil a baking sheet and place the shaped fries on the sheet and drizzle oil over - You do not have to go overboard with the oil.
Bake at 450- 500 until top sides are browned and turn them over once and continue until you think they look just rite.
Honestly this will work.

Can I use aluminum foil instead of baking sheet?

That will work in a pinch. Baking sheets are dirt cheap so you should think about buying a couple in future.
Just what surface is the foil going to be on?

Directly on the oven. I'll get this done one way or another. If all fails, I'll eat it how it is. Thanks.

It will work. You could also put a couple of pans on top of oven and fry them but be sure to wait as much as possible before turning over or they will break apart - Still will end up tasty and brown but just a bit more work and tyme
Now frankly in a pinch I take canned chick peas and add curry powder with some added red pepper powder and a bit of chick stock and heat them up in microwave.
Fast filling and tasty - 2 Cans wood be super filling however

What an ignorant post. Maybe not everyone eats unhealthy like you do. I eat them just as they are, just thought I'd try something different for once. Also, I am not solely white... Chickpeas are for everyone, ignoramus.

Most people buy ingredients they understand. Not 3rd world staples that baffle their little brains.
Why are you buying random shit if you aren't clever or motivated enough to use it?
You may be a mongrel but your taste is pure yuppie.

Chickpeas aren't an ingredient in my case, you moræ. They literally are the meal. What's your deal anyway? Go make yourself a hairy ham sandwich with tartar sauce or something.

I cook them in the dried form which takes a couple or so hours and also have cans of dem on hand.
Good in salads just out of the can.
Should add they are a high quality healthy item high in good fiber
