Incorrect. Birds hate everyone.

Birds are expert manipulators.

There's a lot of birds. You can always just get a new one.

I had two birds. House got too smoky and they both died. It was terrible.

oh God. I'm sorry. freak accident or did you just learn the hard way? I heard so many stories like that at my old job. i have a bird of my own and im super overprotective and paranoid. no candles, incense, essential oils, smoke, curing of pans while i'm around
what kind of birds did you have?

i have one already. I basically inherited this one about a month ago but it was really difficult and I'm going to have to move soon and I just wanted the best for him. i just hope I made the right choice. I wanted to meet the woman who was getting him again today to talk about it but she sent her teenage daughter to pick him up instead. I was kind of pissed.

last minute too. after "I'll see you at 4" I get 'my daughter and her boyfriend are coming'

and because I was upset about it I think I got kind of sassy with her via text (she's about as text-literate as syntax) and now I'm worried she won't let me know how he's doing

you know you have to feed those fuckers every day or else they'll keel over.

some lady got a bad flu and was too sick to feed her bird and it keeled over by the time she got well enough

Keeping a bird is like keeping a person in a cage..

It's wrong..

well ok...but I'm guessing that a bare cage that the size of a small room isn't what you'd consider as nice..

I already live in a very small room anyway so

but you can leave anytime you want..
Imagine you were in there 24-7 for years...with no furniture and the only highlight was someone pouring you a bowl of Cheerios once a day..

Cheerios??

was thinking of how pets get the same ol kibble day after day...and how maybe us getting cheerios poured into our 'feed bowl' would feel somewhat equivalent..

okay

is there a tablet software that lets birds peck the screen to find other birds on the internet to virtually be with? birds can have emotional trouble if they are alone so I think it would be nice for single birds to see and hear each other on a tablet stuck on the wall of their cage.

Anonymous A (OP) replied with this 8 years ago, 3 minutes later, 2 days after the original post[^] [v] #821,314
