What do you think about meritocracy in things like academia and sports?
For example, the only university I qualified to enroll in is a third-rate university (University of Houston-Downtown), which basically admits anyone with a pulse.
This is because I'm a slacker with a low future time orientation and a love for the bottle.
Should my mediocre academic record disqualify me from going to a top university?
