SLOW COOKER BRAISED CHICKEN AU JUS


A two-ingredient slow-cooked meal!

Recipe serves: 4 | Prep Time 5 min | Cook Time 240 min

Ingredients
2 1/2 lbs. chicken cut into serving pieces
1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Mushroom Soup Mix

Directions
1. Toss chicken with Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Mushroom Soup Mix in slow cooker.
2. Cook covered on LOW 8 to 10 hours or HIGH 4 to 6 hours or until chicken is thoroughly cooked. Serve chicken with sauce.

....what? Surely there's something missing here because you need water or broth or meat juices of some kind to get au jus gravy to dip the meat in. You cant put chicken with dry mix and get any real liquid out of it. Please stop trolling.

That wasn't in the recipe so I didn't do it. Now my chicken just tastes like onion soup mix.

You cannot braise food by putting it in a pot with dry onion soup mix

I just verified this recipe via the web and it is accurate.

Photo shows very little sauce - One has to assume the juice from Chicken does indeed slowly ooze out and heat is so low none escapes as steam.
