I would assume anyone dressed up as a Nazi and wandering around has mental health issues, and deserves to be taken into care and given treatment instead of being punched by violent thugs. Most reasonable and caring people would assume this.

Calm and reasonable discussion about the merit of ideologies and their social, political, and economic strategies. It's the same cure that society has for Communism, religious extremism and other historically problematic ideas that confused, scared, and argry young people turn to when they feel powerless. Manipulative people are always trying to recruit because they have power in numbers, but taken out of that poisoned environment many followers can think for themselves and have a discussion.
In a modern society that holds freedom of thought, conscience and ideas to be a human right, attacking people with violence because you don't agree with them is not the answer. It's unfortunate that the far left, the far right, and religious extremists all use violence.
