I told you on January 20th the wall wasn't happening and there would be no deportations!

Kind of. He says whatever he wants and does whatever he thinks is convenient.

if he keeps working with democrats and passes good legislation then there's still plenty of time for him to change my opinion. i'll still dislike him on a personal level, but if i agree with his policies i won't be able to argue he's not doing a good job.

hell, he could legalize weed and roll out medicaid for everyone and i'd consider voting for him in 2020. paired with legit infrastructure spending and sensible tax reform and i'd totally have no problem voting for him.

i'm not holding my brearh though.

No offence, squeegee, but that seems... Naive. He's said and done some horrible stuff, and has shown time and again he's untrustworthy. Not to mention his overt hostility to democracy. I would never trust him to be a credible politician. Not ever.

By no deportations I mean no more than the Obama average. What I mean is there won't be anything like Operation Wetback.

It was during the Eisenhower administration, back before the Current Year™

that's why i'm not holding my breath. but trump is reliable in one regard, he only cares about his "ratings," and if he gets good press out of working with democrats then i bet he does whatever "mainstream media" praises him the most for. it seems the be the only thing he cares about, good press.

if "chuck and nancy" can deliver him the kind of press he's after then he might accidentally end up doing something "good," if not for the wrong reasons.

but, i'm not holding my breath. i expect he'll end up undermining and sinking any kind of bipartisan proposal as fast as he helped tank every version of republicare. it's in his nature.

but, if he changes then i won't argue he's not doing anything productive. i'll never call him a good or moral person, but there's still time for him to to good as president.

i'm still not holding my breath though.

I'm pretty sure deportations are going on still. They were going on during the Obama and Bush presidencies.

There is a reason why the U.S. has a border patrol. Obviously, people are being deported so you might want to be less vague.

This I why I said the media should give him encouragement and support for his clumsy hamfisted attempts to denounce Nazis, instead of throwing hissy fits because he took two days to specifically denounce Richard Spencer.

We should have no controls on immigration.

I suppose I can respect that. But I still don't think I could ever bring myself to vote for him.
