I keep thinking of that bit in the start, where Watson nearly runs into the thin sharp glass needle held by the person doing the ritual. Imagine if he had ran a little bit further, I keep visualising it.The glass needle stabbing his soft eyes D:

I remember a dream from The Running Man (novel) where a friend of the protagonist is being interrogated and has his eyes stabbed with hot needles through the roof of his mouth.
