Topic: I got in my first adult bike accident fora.

Meta started this discussion 9 years ago #65,634

I hopped the curb up onto the sidewalk to get out of a car's way and my front tire slipped off the sidewalk and I took a tumble and fell.

I landed on wet grass so there's no real injuries. I have some minor rugburn and a few superficial scratches. The bike's rear wheel is now badly bent and the rear axle makes a terrible grinding noise but I was able to make it home.

I think my ten year old bike is trashed now foram :(

Did it cause more brain damage?

No my head didn't hit. You gotta realize the ground is still saturated here so it was like falling on mud almost.

@810,347 (Syntax)
It'll grow back.

I was picturing a bike with a dildo or something
Am disappointed

My next one I'll replace the seat with a dildo mounted on the seat tube. And then when I ride over potholes and shit it'll be like I'm getting fucked really hard ?

Were you wearing a McHelmet™?

Well, it's good that someone had thought to put down a rug.

Glad you're okay. Sorry about the bike.

Your pain makes me joyful. Tell me more bad things that have happened to you recently.

If your bike is ten years old, you should be very fit, enough so that you could outpace the car behind you. Why did you make this error in your judgement of the situation? We are all very ashamed of you...

If your logic is completely broken, you should be a unicorn, enough so that you could outpace an avalanche.

@previous (E)
Well, you're not wrong. According to Answers.com, unicorns run at roughly 200 mph, while most avalanches only spread at a measly crawl of 60-80 mph.

Unicorns often have to pass slower traffic like avalanches. That's when they use the horn.

The arm and ribcage pain only lasted an hour or so. Cool wet grass is an excellent surface to have a bicycle crash on.
