I went to a chain restaurant and had good service. The waitress told me it helps her if I can give specific comments complimenting her service. Any ideas?

I gave her a (cash) tip over of just over 20%. The restaurant also apparently has incentives for servers if they get good comments on their online surveys. Anyway I just said that she was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. Thanks for nothing.

If you wanted to help her...and she lived up to it...a choice comment would be that her conduct and service and interaction with you caused you to feel that you were appreciated as a customer..
I realize your comments do reflect that..but why not really make her shine..

Remember when there was a huge spate of those stories where the waitress would post the receipt on twitter and the customer had written in something like "no tip because of [bigoted hateful reason]"
You never see those anymore.
