I had to buy new tires last week. The old ones lasted six years and 40,000 miles before going bald. My boots which, I bought two years ago and definitely have not walked 40,000 miles in have like no tread left on the sole.
What's up with that? The car tires have to support 4,000lbs at freeway speeds. The boots have to support 300lbs at like 2mph.

You're just as damaging to the car as you are to the boots. That's why your seat is also getting lower. It'll eventually be where the gas pedal and breaks are. ?

The driver's seat definitely has a Meta-shaped impression in it. The steel frame is still intact though.
