You got potential. Everyone has to start somewhere. I started like this and now I make money selling my work. Hell I just did 15 pieces for a roleplaying game suplement yesterday. deviantart.com has lots of photoshop tutorials on photomanipulation. Keep it up. You can teach yourself about the tools, color, balance, shadow, but no one can teach you to love art and to have a vision that you want to put on the page. Rock on with your bad self.

I think it is a commentary on what one percieves as "art". Where does it begin? Where does it end? The myriad symbolism in the piece suggests a deep level of artistic thinking, and even the shittiness can be understood as an ironic statement.
