@803,375 (brie !iFDoautiSM)his twitter feed. trump threatened "fire and fury" the likes of which the world has never seen. north korean state media is now threatening to nuke guam. normally this time of year we'd be looking towards all of the holidays in the fall and we'd hear mentions of stuff in the news, like crazy cities and their unusual halloween plans, and that thanksgiving is coming and christmas is just around the corner. at least everyone would be talking about all the back-to-school sales and the economy would start to kick into a higher gear.
but no, we're talking nuclear war over some tweets and the economy has been running like a high idling engine all year and without keeping shopping on people's minds i think we're about to see all this economic growth over the last few years stall out completely. we need to give it a little gas, afterall "trump has primed the pump" for us... but yeah, i have a suspicion that this years holidays will sneak up on everyone and the holiday season will be absolute shit. i really hope i'm wrong, but fear isn't a really good driver of the gift giving season.
so even if north korea doesn't nuke guam and we don't retaliate with fire and fury i think he's just done fucked the entire economy. a nuke fight with kim jong-un is all anyone will be talking about for the next year

Nonetheless, Trump's typically blowhard and erratic behaviour is an unwelcome detriment to a fragile situation.

I haven't been able to look into this myself but I have read that if you look at North Korea's foreign policies since the Korean war, they are all focused towards North Korea's continued existence. Nuking the US would not be conducive to this.
