The charity, which receives state funding, has put a stop to their foster services simply because a law was enacted forcing state funded charities to be non-discriminatory. In the process, this cuts out 58 jobs.
People are going to lose their jobs and kids are going to be worse off simply because a charity wants to discriminate with state money.

The catholic church is not particularly corrupt. It is only that, unlike the government, it does not pay or employ, media advisors, campaign managers, speech writers etc.

Because I've watched documentaries on the hierarchical structure on the Catholic Church.
The organization is actually very loosely structured. Spiritually, there is a clear order, but practically it is very hard to enforce.
