The "Organization of American States", what is it, and why does it exist?

Those things are minor. Look at how much of a fight people put up just for socialized medicine. Do you really think Americans are going let them abolish the American dollar and replace it with something shared across the continent? They can't even abolish dollar bills and replace them with dollar coins without a fight. Look at all the problems the Euro is having now. Mexico would become the new Greece, and the U.S. would want out as soon as they got in. The U.S. will never give up that much sovereignty.

3 years ago we were building a fence across the US-Mexico border. I'm more worried about war than consolidation, and I do not give either much thought.
