Topic: Matt, what do you think of the Cobb salad?

Do you hate it because it's American?

It is a fine dish, although many cultures laugh at the idea that throwing raw vegetables together is "cooking". I personally like it.

Throwing raw vegetables together is not cooking by definition

I think making a salad is generally referred to as making a salad in most parts of the world

Cooking or cookery is the art, technology and craft of preparing food for consumption with or without the use of heat

Appears they stole the definition from one of several websites with one small change: the original only says WITH the use of heat. See here, here.

Here are the most common Internet definitions:
Cooking or cookery is the art, technology and craft of preparing food for consumption with the use of heat. (Links above)
At its most basic, cooking means applying heat to food. Here
The practice or skill of preparing food by combining, mixing, and heating ingredients. Oxford English Dictionary, here

This was debated on the Wikipedia talk page. One single retard decided that cooking can include preparation without heat. I suspect that person is you. You are wrong. Thanks.

Clearly you have never attempted making a Cobb salad at home. As someone who was lucky enough to order this at the restaurant of origin multiple times I do no yes no what a real Cobb salad is.

You are changing the subject you mongrel. Your definition was wrong. It's okay. Accept it.

Listen up Ambulance Chaser. I took the top definition and you took others so it was not my definition.
Fact is one cannot make a Cobb Salad without cooking and not just cooking but cooking with skill or you get soggy bacon and under or over done hard boiled egg.
