i tried pretty hard too. i did everything i could possibly do, i woke up, went to the polls, and voted not trump. there was nothing more i could do, and it failed. pretty bad feeling there was absolutely no other way for me to make a difference at all.

it's a worse problem when you understand that Trump was actually the best pick available from that party. the party needs to be made redundant

trick Scientology to merge with it, I don't know

Even if Ohio went blue the outcome would have been the same. What you should do is try to get support for that interstate electoral voting compact thingy so it doesn't happen again.

I'm not too sure about that. As I understand, his attitude to international trade is very USA-centric. I imagine that could limit how good of a deal the UK can get with him. As could his tendency to adjust his big promises when they come up against the realities of governing.

He has a lot of business in the UK so it's in his personal interest to ensure a smooth brexit.

In terms of geopolitical chess also it makes sense to support the UK. 5th biggest economy becoming almost dependant on American imports can only be good for America.

At the end of the day we have to align ourselves with some kind of power. I hope to see the commonwealth become relevant again but also the Americans.
