Topic: Some movies that resonate with me to make me realize they are quality films.

Wonder Woman (2017), great dialog and acting which makes the love relationship convincing and even adorable. Great way of telling the heroine's backstory and some great action that could make any non-fan a fan of this character.

There Will Be Blood (2007), is a story about an oil tycoon who faces various challenges throughout his career and life. It stars Daniel Dae Lewis and would leave one recalling the film in such a way to make one realize this is a good movie.

Phone Booth (2002), it stars Colin Ferrell as Stu, a publicist that gets taken hostage by a serial killer via a public phone booth in New York City, while the premise sounds incredibly silly it makes for an entertaining movie when the entire film takes places inside of this booth. It can also be quite the thriller too knowing that the killer has eyes on this man at all times to ensure he doesn't get away.

12 Years A Slave, I put this on the list because the acting is phenomenal and you can actually get a sense of the main character's hardship going from a somewhat kind master to a more brutally cruel one. It follows the story of Solomon Northup, a free black man from the North who gets mistaken for a slave and forced into the slave trade in the South.

The Mosquito Coast (1986), Harrison Ford stars as Allie Fox who after being fed up with his country of the United States relocates his family to South America where he constructs his own society. I have to put this one on my list because the premise of starting one's own society is interesting to me.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), while some parts of these films may feel like they drag on and are boring. The story of the main ape character known as Caesar is a fun interesting story to follow and can make one sympathize with him in his struggles of leading the ape society as well as the tensions that brewed between apes and humans. I look forward to seeing War for the Planet of the Apes (2017).

Seeking A Friend for the End of the World (2012), a mission to knock an approaching asteroid off course failed and the main character played by Steve Carell tries to spend the remaining days he has left before his and humanity's ultimate demise. He meets a girl, played by Keira Knightly, which makes him decide to get her home to see her family before touchdown. Little did he realize that he and her developed romantic feelings for one another. This movie made my list because it's just people being people and an uneasy feeling knowing that the world was going to end at the end of their adventure.

Braveheart (1995), just an epic story about Scottish historical figure William Wallace and his fight for an independent Scotland. Great acting and great battle scenes. It didn't seem right to exclude this film from this list.

That is all of the films I can think of off the top of my head, but if I think of more then I will post them below.

Also, Groundhog Day (1993) is the greatest movie of all time. Try to disagree with me, you can't.

This list was a personal one. For a more general one, you could pull up any top tens elsewhere on the Internet. It didn't make sense to me to compose a list of movies based on the general movie going audience when several exist already. Plus most of those lists tend to be so opinionated that they may as well be personal lists from the author.

I couldn't recall any movies from that year at the moment, please recommend me some or suggest names to jog my memory.

Not my personal favorite, it felt too cliché.
