I think obstruction of justice is generally a bullshit overused charge that means nothing and everything. It can include resisting arrest, briefly misanswering a question, or refusing to give up a person with a warrant, even if that's immediately corrected. In practice I've seen obstruction charges for wriggling away from a cop trying to rough someone up...
Personally I don't yet see obstruction here, using the term narrowly (how I think it was intended and should be used - did a person intentionally thwart an investigation, and was the investigation actually thwarted?). If applied consistent with what happens to young black men interacting with law enforcement personnel, then yes I think Trump should be fucked. But he's a rich old white man.
