Topic: Is it retarded to use a shower gel and deodorant that are different brands?

I usually use a brand of shower gel that is different to the deodorant I use. Just never seem to have the same types when I need them. Is this dumb? I mean, I wanna be applying the same odour twice, not two different odours, producing some weird combination of smells. Am I just over-analysing this? Does anyone else even think about this?

It wouldn't be pointless because most of the armpit smell comes from sweat. Most non scented deodorants contain antiperspirant chemicals, which stops sweat from being exuded.

I use Old Spice two-in-one shampoo and body wash and Axe spray (I hate Axe but my mom bought it so I'm waiting for it to run out and then I'll switch to Old Spice because Old Spice rocks)

I was thinking about this the other day! But I think it's fine to do, even if your body wash and deodorant have different scents. I hardly find that the smell of my body wash stays around for very long, anyway. It's not like either of them will smell as strongly as perfume--any clashing of the two smells shouldn't be noticeable at all.
