In classical anthropological race taxonomy, the people of India, Iran, and some others are with Europeans as being caucasian. In terms of what matters to the people, there are actually several distinct kinds of people in India with different languages, not to mention religions. India has a huge population from which to draw upon for exceptionally capable people. Pakistan is what formed from civil war when malcontent Muslims wanted to not be with Hindu-dominated India.
