So if you skip all that and go to the bottom line - Turkey n Greece sorta have become accustomed to each others foibles. Besides at this point Greece wood have to take out a loan from Turkey just to buy bullets to go against Turkey in a future war.
Yea when I looked at Meta's chart I said - Hummmm its how like Stats are currently poorly respected. Its now a matter of point of view

percent GDP isn't necessarily a "gold standard", as metaphor if you catch my drift
you need to employ a more complicated formula with more than one variable
what does it cost to defend Florida from being a lot more underwater as the warmth of the water causes expansion and greater volume (heat causes expansion of materials generally)

That very same water is going to overflow my beach which is very small as it is.
Even if it costs an infinite amount of money we must protect my beach.

If there's one thing I've learned from reading history, it's that history is written by the victors. Turkey will present compelling evidence that Greece fired first and Greece will present compelling evidence that Turkey fired first. Whoever wins gets to write history.

I am neither a Greek nor a Turk. I have no dog in this fight. But I can guarantee you if these two go to war the victorious country will say the other (defeated) country started it.

history, when written by the losers, becomes an agent of discontent, resentment, separatism, and with sufficient fervor, fucking war
