Topic: DreamWorks and Illumination Entertainment are both owned by NBC Universal?

I thought they were competitors along with Pixar. Why does NBC Universal even keep producing films under one of them?

I wonder if any billionaires ever attempted to own everything.

Dr. Pepper / Snapple falls under Kraft? Yum Brands falls under Pepsico? I guess that explains why its Pepsi products at Taco Bell.

Yes the original founder of MCA/Universal attempted2 US Super court blocked him from pulling it off.

In the Movie business there is massive incest n cross pollination and ownership which includes direct competitors

Try this - Look up NBC/Universal on Wiki and then do the same with Pixar and keep in mind ABC (Walt Disney corp) the owner of Pixar which is a direct competitor of NBC - Notice how they share TV properties with NBC (Only a few Cable channels)

And in movie distribution often its the competitor doing the heavy lifting -

This is a crappy tree but it will have to do

> competitors
