I just bought two normal salads at Whole Foods (took someone to lunch). It cost $20 for two freaking salads, from a salad bar that we made ourselves! What??

Betting the selection was terrific. Real bacon instead of Soy fake bacon bits. Fresh Mozzarella super tomatoes and fresh basil salad. Typical supermarket salads bars here in SD about $6.95 pound So just a few more bucks and you get Real Bacon and lots of other quality choices. Ya pay for what you get n you get Organic which costs them more NOT that I count that as important in my life yet still

ALSO That $20 must be lots of tax cause down this way its only $8.99/pound and so that is $9 + about 90 cents tax so here its more like $9.90 X2 which is clearly under $20 nor is there any tip to pay

You need to visit a standard salad bar - $6.00 + and compare ingredients.

what's the salad limit??

Syntax replied with this 9 years ago, 2 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[^] [v] #786,825

@previous (F)
It is by the pound at most places. One discovers to many Artichoke hearts adds up quickly compared to lettuce. Pile on the roasted chicken and soon one could just load up on salad stuff buy a roast chicken and carve up and have leftovers

You make your salad, then they weigh it and charge you accordingly.
