malls kind of suck, i try to avoid them as much as possible
thrift stores are much better ime
brick and mortar stores have much more overhead cost than online stores, so things tend to be more expensive. they are better if you are unsure of what it is that you want/need and want to be able to try things out though

I cannot imagine buying clothes without first holding the garment. Feel of material. Hard look at construction. A lot of materials have to much of a plastic feel to them these days.

Obesity is the number one reason and last time I checked, shopping malls aren't easy to get around in a wheelchair, mobility scooter, or with large amounts of fat hanging from the body.
