Planet Earth actually turns very quickly, clocking in at 1037mph when measured from the equator.
If you got in a car-boat and travelled at 1037mph, you would be able to drive from London to New York City in only 3 hours; far quicker than the current world record of 5 hours 16 minutes, held by a Boeing 777 flight in early 2015.
