One to tweet that the lights are out, one hundred to re-tweet it, fifteen to organize the GoFundMe page, ten thousand to back the project, a team of 50 industrial designers and electrical engineers and to create a bluetooth enabled lightbulb, 5 computer engineers to create the companion app, 250 factory workers to package and ship the bulbs, 5000 postal workers to deliver them and one millennial who got the package days ago but waited until they tripped and fell in the darkness before finally changing the lightbulb.

i would probably need the landlord's help in changing the bathroom&hall lights, they're the type of fixture where the whole thing is covered by a frosted-glass done that i wouldn't know how to take off

I should add - I bought several of the bulbs. Returned all of them to home depot. They in fact do all that the text says they do. BUT the light output when in the colour mode - Say you set for Red or Blue and max output - Sad just Sad - So instead at Christmas for a display I bought regular White Led 70 watt bulbs and used an ordinary Red or Blue Plastic cup over the bulb. Got the Lumens I needed for the display.
Svet will tell ya all how difficult that kinda filter USED2B - Heat from bulbs and Gel Cells - Ordinary plastic full melt in seconds - LED's cold to the touch - At 70 watts just a little warm to the touch

I would rather have a smart bulb switch, than a smart bulb.
If you think of it, a smart bulb needs always the light switch turned on. If someone flips it off, it becomes dumb. A smart light switch would just be installed and could potentially control a dozen of dumb bulbs.
But yeah, no red and blue mode with normal bulbs.

@previous (DasSheeple !XPQqN0U9Ew)Assumption wood be that modern fixtures wood still have its own on off switch. All of my fixtures are for pre Led technology. I might place a bet lots of modern fixtures designed only for LED's might not have its own on off and only because that saves the manufacture 7 cents.

I have lots of those now tossed out. All kinds of old technology to remotely turn on and off individual bulbs or other electronic items.
I did look for high lumen LED's for one color only - Not exhausted search but the two major huge box stores in USA Lowes and Homedepot - Single color LED's are crummy low lumen - Once I thought of a Gel filter and was about to buy them online it hit me - Any ordinary plastic wood work and sure did.
I remember back when LED's were invented and I needed a light bulb that wood pass high frequencies and traveled to the LED manufacture 1000's miles away to get my hands on the first few - Made a phase lock loop that just rocked my electronics. I should have applied for a patent on that one.
Then years go by and I lost touch with how LED's now come in forms at Home Depot that even are designed to look like the old Gas fed light sources. OR like this crazy thing that is LED
