there were 109 overdoses in one day in bc. some people would have it that emergency services do not answer overdose calls and that people who od will be denied services in hospital.

It's obviously "free at point of use" like whenever a store offers free ice cream or whatever. The ice cream did not magically appear at no cost to the store owner, and no one ever says "Hey this ice cream isn't actually free you degenerate liar." How about this? Everybody pays the same amount for healthcare, no matter what. You're the healthiest motherfucker? You pay the same as the sickest asshole.
That way the healthcare industry actually has a profit motive to keep you healthy.
