Skids are the people who consider themselves hackers and call others skids, script kiddies. you skid(stupid kid). Think about this, you can buy a banking trojan from a person who is considered to be a "1337" coder and make $500+ a day stealing from people and never getting caught, that person is a skid because he is using someones "script" to do what it was made for, steal peoples personal information, however you can sit and call him a skid all day he still has more money than you ever will ;).
Or what about all the 1337 hackers that use Metasploit or even Backtrack 5, they are all considered skids by definition.
the term skid is stupid, to not be a skid you would need to write all of your own programs, crypt them yourself, and if your are using botnets spread them yourself. No one does this, and if anyone has attempted to they failed and became a skid, like smart people.

Real hackers find exploits in the code, and/or code shit themself. You may say that's a waste of time and that you're "smart" for using someone else's work to save yourself the time, but in reality you're just a script kiddie.
