Topic: Why did John Adams not want a second term as U.S. President?

Did he just never want the job? Did this have to do with antifederalists? Or the occurrences in France?

Curious about what Minichan thinks.

awww, i think David McCullough wrote a book on john adams i was planning on reading eventually. i'd have an opinion about this if i'd read that i'm sure. you should've asked about george washington and i'd have told you about how obsessed he was with barrels.

Is that the book which inspired the HBO TV show? Because that was what inspired this thread.
