I worked lived on the bigger Island just across the pond from NZ. There were Aussies with accents so thick I could only understand 50% of what was spoken.
Shocked to find out other Aussies also had the same problem. I never met a NZ who I could not understand but also I did not spend all that much tyme in NZ

I have never denied. Plus it does take more work for me to get the English more rite on Anon posts. Often I do not bother and people spot me often
