My neighbors changed their Wi-Fi security from WEP to WPA and I haven't had Internet access at home for the past couple of months. I'm too much of a baby to be capable of cracking WPA.
I was about to order Internet for the last month I live here (moving overseas in a couple months), but decided to walk around the house with a USB router thingy. I picked up two strong WEP networks, booted up my Linux live CD, went to work, and now here I am.
Just thought I'd openly celebrate. Thanks for your concern.

As someone who regularly relies on unwitting neighbors for Internet access, I sympathize. A lot of residences and businesses use their phone numbers for passwords. If you are fucking around looking for WiFi to crack, it's often worth it to run a simple dictionary and a list of local phone numbers over any captured WPA handshakes. It obviously won't always work, but some people think that they are safe with better encryption and go lax on their passwords. It beats renting cloud time to crack that shit.
