110% worth it. I find 8-9" is the right size. 7" is too small and 10" is too big. I got my first one back in 2013 and I spend twice as much time on my tablet as I do my laptop or desktop.
This is the thing though: get a nice one. You really need a 300+ppi "retina"-type display.

I only use my phone when I'm outside of the house. I have a cheap shitty 4" Huawei phone though. I always get cheap phones because mine tend to get broken.
