Even if that were true it doesnt change anything. Chemicals in the brain cause many types of mental illnesses that you can be born with or develop. Having perception issues doesnt make you a bad person.

Whilst technically true, there is still a huge stigma against mental illness and many people would be offended by being described as "mentally ill" because it has over time become a pejorative term.
Therefore your post is not seen as a simple stating of the facts, but rather as an insult.
