You've got to realize Trump learned a lot from the Obama birther conspiracy. Trump is doing the exact same thing with his tax returns that Obama did with his birth certificate. Obama could have released the real birth certificate on day 1 if he wanted to, but it was much more impressive to wait three years and drive the right batshit crazy over it. Trump learned a lot from this and so he's doing the same thing with his taxes. He'll wait till the left reaches a screeching fever pitch about it in 2019 or so, then release them all showing he paid all his tax and they'll all have egg on their face.
