No the original DOS version is not compatible with modern Windows. In 1996 iD software released Doom 95 which is fully compatible with Windows 95-present. There are also innumerable source ports for Windows. If you want to get really autistic you can either run the DOS Doom in DOSBox or Chocolate Doom which is Windows-compatible but faithfully re-creates every single bug and limitation of the 1993 Doom.
